Due to some sterling work by (our now revealed) artist, Anthony Gregori, we are powering ahead with the comic. Bear in mind that we are on a budget here (2 kids to feed…), I think you’ll agree that the quality of the pencils and inks are most definitely NOT budget. I am exceptionally impressed with the quality of Tony’s work, whilst I don’t consider myself an artist, I do have a modicum of skill with a pencil and have sketched pin ups and the like in the past. There is though, a fundamental difference between knocking up a character on a sheet of A4 and interpreting a script sequentially and making it look good. Scott McCloud’s book is excellent and quite the yardstick to judge this work by. Effectively, even before we see a single letter put onto a page, we can actually tell what the story is, who are the good guys, who are the protagonists and so on just through the interpretation of the script in the artwork.
Anyway, another page of flats for your perusal. If you want to contact him, you can get him on Twitter under the username @tonygregori and he certainly comes highly recommended by me.
